Delicate Ammannia
Ammannia gracilis
General information: Grows on sandy banks in low nutrient soil in clumps of small plants. In greenhouse conditions in rich soil grows into a much larger plant.
Cultivation notes : It prefers high light and a nutrient rich substrate and temperatures over 25 Deg C. Culture is by vegetative means. The water quality where the plant is cultured is carbonate hardness about 70 ppm and a hardness about 60 ppm. The temperature is usually around 27 Deg C and pH about neutral. The plant grows best when the carbonate hardness is adjusted upwards with potassium bicarbonate.
