General information: This is a very attractive plant that grows in non permanent water bodies on Top End floodplains from about beginning of January to the end of April. It grows in shallow water sending up small floating leaves first. As an aquarium plant it may look a bit leggy, but for those aquariums with the lighting above the tank and bit of space over the tank it will develop attractive blue flowers.
Cultivation notes : It has to be grown from seed each year. It likes warm water 27 to 30 deg C, pH around 7, Hardness 50 ppm and Alkalinity (KH) about 60 ppm.
Distribution : Found in Australia only, NT and Qld.
Selling details : Sold as individual plants with the roots washed free of substrate.
