Spawning Mop

General information: It is quite simple to make your own mop to collect fish eggs. There is a series of photos to show what you need and how to put it together. Use acrylic yarn to avoid it rotting in water. Colour, dark brown or green seem OK but many colours are OK for the fish, even flourescent pink. This is mainly used for Rainbowfishes, the main production creature for Aquagreen but also Hardyheads, Blu-eyes and Glassfish will use the mops. The acrylic yarn can be wrapped around anything, in the photos we have used a plastic cutting board from the kitchen, once about 50 turns are on the board one end is cut. the resulting strands are tied in the middle as shown in the photo then that is zip tied to a float. The mops we provide will have a section of pool float noodle. If you dont want to make your own you can buy one from aquagreen already to go.
